Definition and structure of leaf spring

The leaf spring is an elastic beam with approximately equal strength composed of several alloy spring sheets with equal width but unequal length (the thickness can be equal or unequal). It is not only the elastic element of the suspension, but also the guiding device of the suspension. There are two main types of leaf springs:
Multi-leaf spring: It is composed of multiple steel plates with different lengths and the same width. Each steel plate is superimposed in an inverted triangle, with the upper steel plate being long and the lower steel plate being short. The number of steel plates is related to the weight of the supporting bus. The thicker and shorter the steel plate, the greater the spring stiffness.
Less leaf spring: composed of steel plate, with thin ends, thick middle, equal width and equal length. The cross-section of the steel plate of the small leaf spring changes greatly, and the cross-section is gradually different from the middle to the two ends, so the rolling process is more complicated and more expensive than the multi-leaf spring.
